iDE Bangladesh – Research Fellowship
Organization Background
iDE is dedicated to creating income and livelihood opportunities for the rural poor. We were one of the first organizations to unlock the power of markets to fight poverty. iDE designs and delivers market-based solutions in Nutrition, Agriculture, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in 11 countries across Asia, Africa, and Central America.
iDE Bangladesh is the oldest iDE country program having operated continuously since 1982.
The Transforming Lives Through Nutrition (TLTN) project aims to improve health and food systems' responses to malnutrition and food insecurity crises. In Bangladesh, the project is implemented through a partnership between Helen Keller International, Vitamin Angels, and iDE.
About the Fellowship
iDE Bangladesh invites recent university graduates to apply for a one-year paid fellowship focused on nutrition research, employability skills, field implementation, and knowledge dissemination.

Fellowship Benefits
Financial Support
08–09 months paid fellowship with field travel, logistics, and administrative support. Competitive monthly stipend as per organizational standards.
Mentorship & Coaching
Training and supervision from iDE leaders, including employability skills development.
Academic Guidance
Guidance from universities and knowledge institutions on qualitative and quantitative research.
Field Research Experience
Hands-on field visits and nutrition-focused research activities aligned with TLTN projects.
Methodological Training
Training on research methodology, statistical analysis, and photovoice tools.
Publication & Networking
Support for publication, conference presentations, and professional networking opportunities.
Expected Outcomes
- Publish at least one research article or conference paper
- Present research findings at knowledge dissemination events
- Develop blogs or podcasts with communication support
- Participate in photovoice events and sectoral networking
- Build professional and academic networks for future careers
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or BBA from a reputed university
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Graduation completed within the last 02 years
Preferred Fields
Nutrition, Health Economics, Business Administration, Agriculture, WASH, Development Studies, Statistics, Computer Science, Communication, or related disciplines.
Other Requirements
- Strong research interest and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability for full-time commitment (40 hours/week)
- Willingness to participate in 8–10 field visits
